Did you know that after a disaster, you can let your family and friends know that you are safe and well? That
can bring your loved ones a great peace of mind. American Red Cross website is designed to help make
that communication easier.
If you have been affected by a disaster, you can use this page to post "safe and well messages" that your
loved ones can view. Registering yourself on the Safe and Well Web site is completely voluntary and you
can update your entry at any time. Those searching on this site for your information will need to enter your
name, along with your address or phone number. The search result will show only your first name, last
name, the date and time of registration, and the messages you selected to tell your story.
Also, the American Red Cross Safe and Well Website is a way for people affected by a disaster to enter
Information regarding their welfare so family and friends can check their status. Because people self-register, the Red Cross cannot verify the information and is not responsible for any inaccuracies.
This page provides two options for searching the list of those whose who have registered themselves as “safe and well.” The results of a successful search will only display the First Name, Last Name, an “As of Date” and the messages they posted.
About the American Red Cross:
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
