Why: A dedicated group of business owners have seen and felt the recent destruction of storms and their impact on Fayetteville and the Cumberland County community. Collectively, they will demonstrate their support of local disaster relief efforts and with a $100,000 gift; the largest donation in history to the American Red Cross through the Highlands Chapter.
The American Red Cross prepares and responds to disasters everyday of the year. Through dedicated staff and volunteers, they host training and disaster response action teams. Through preparation, the Highlands Chapter has been responding to more than 400 disasters a year, including the recent tornadoes and recovery effort.
